Interviews and background briefings
My background
For more than 20 years, I have been working in the psychology of human relationships, including partner search, relationship building, and maintaining partnerships. For 16 years, I have been working for the psychological online matchmaking service Gleichklang. In this context, I regularly conduct surveys and data analyses on factors that can promote or hinder online partner search or relationship satisfaction. In addition, I continuously review the current state of psychological research on partner search, online dating, and relationship management. I regularly report findings on the Gleichklang relationship blog. I have also recently summarised my insights and observations from 16 years of matchmaking in my guidebook “A Perfect Match? Online partner search from a psychological perspective“.
Media contact for journalists
I am always happy to provide journalists with information on findings from relationship psychology and new studies on online dating. This can take the form of interviews as well as background briefings.
This has already resulted in numerous media reports, such as this article in DIE ZEIT on green dating, this WDR TV report, the article by Nina Horcher in the Austrian Der Standard on the social invisibility of bisexuality, this panel discussion on Bayern 3 about the influence of vegetarian and vegan diets on partner search and relationships, this interview with the Queer portal, an expert interview with FÜR SIE, or this radio feature on Deutschlandfunk.
Other journalists use the contact for background briefings and to have questions answered from a psychological perspective, without this necessarily resulting in immediate coverage.
If you have an enquiry, I look forward to hearing from you!
